If you're like me you love Mod Organizer and it was all you used for Skyrim. It was said it wasn't as good with Fallout Games at first but over time I began to use it for Fallout 3, NV, and TTW as well and it worked like a charm. I am currently using MO2 alpha which seems to be designed with FO4 in mind, however there are still some hiccups. The game launcher read virtual files fine but other programs (Specifically BodySlide in this case) don't read virtual files. This means that when you start them up the don't detect your meshes and textures and will not properly affect them when BodySlide is run.
SOLUTION:
This may seem obvious to some but for those who never thought of it let me explain my steps. You will need NMM to make this process easier since it does require installing files. Install the body (CBBE) through NMM. Choose to install the BodySlide xmls and the like. Also make sure you install bodyslide through NMM. Go in and create the body you like in BodySlide. Now go to the games data folder. Turn the 'Meshes' folder into a zip and name it something along the lines of 'My BodySlide Body'. (This really only works if the bodyslide data is the only thing in your meshes folder. If you use MO2 before this it should be). Then simply add My BodySlide Body.zip manually to MO2 and check it. Then if you like you can uninstall CBBE in NMM and reinstall it without the xml option in MO2 (for the esp and textures). Leave BodySlide installed in NMM so you keep your saved preset. Just make sure your mod overwrites CBBE in MO2's order. This same process works for outfit conversion. Simply install the outfit conversion in NMM, run BodySlide with your preset, turn the newly made meshes folder into a zip with a good name, add it in MO2, uninstall the conversions from NMM to avoid conflict.
A bit lengthy I know, but it's worked for me so far. Plus then if you ever need to turn things on and off for any reason it's super easy. If you found this hard to read (which wold not surprise me lol) or I left something out, let me know and I'll try my best to edit it.

Fallout 4 - Installed bodyslide and CBBE body and try to run bodyslide. Bodyslide open fine, the problem is there's no outfit/body come up from the drop down menu.
|
commented Jul 16, 2016
Then you installed the BodySlide addon(s) wrong. Make sure that the structures of the mods are correct. Mine is working fine.
|
commented Jul 16, 2016
This is a problem with the user and not MO2. Did you forget to activate any mods you wanted to use in bodyslide?
|
commented Jul 17, 2016
I've only installed the bodyslide and cbbe body. Nothing showed up
|
commented Jul 17, 2016
you need to install 'CBBE vanilla outfit' (on CBBE page) or you won't have anything appearing.
|
commented Jul 17, 2016
Oh Yay! It works now. Thanks for the help.
|
commented Jul 17, 2016
But wondering why must the cbbe vanilla outfit needed?
|
commented Jul 17, 2016
Because it containts the bodyslide addons. AKA it contains the files to make the clothings bodyslide compatible
|
commented Jul 17, 2016
and if you want higher poly outfit try the atomic beauty bodyslide
|
commented Jul 18, 2016
AB body is nicer looking but very limited in outfit choices.
|
commented Jul 23, 2016
thats always the tradeoff for non-mainstream body meshes.. not worth it imo.. gotta have the matching clothing/armor
|
commented Jul 23, 2016
You can just download bodyslide compatible clothing and build them for the Atomic Beauty body.
|
commented Jul 23, 2016
no, that wouldn't work as atomic beauty is a higher poly model and has it's own sliders in bodyslide
|
commented Jul 23, 2016
Ah I see, sorry ^^

This guide shows the cloth-physics method to obtain breast physics on a CBBE outfit using Outfit Studio for Fallout 4. Why does an outfit need breast physics? So women dressed in cotton blouses arenât mistaken for robots, or worse, synths!
prerequisites
- Calienteâs Beautiful Body Enhancer -CBBE- by Caliente and Ousnius
- BodySlide and Outfit Studio by Ousnius
- a CBBE outfit of your choice
- (optional) FO4Edit
- (optional) BSA Browser
Iâm using âTheKiteâs Handmaidenâ by Niero and TheKite for an example outfit. I chose this as an example, because the outfit comes with multiple parts.
Overview
The method used here will be copying physics from the CBBE reference body to the outfit. Physics which optionally comes with CBBE uses cloth physics (applied to the body) to simulate breast movement and jiggle. Copying physics from the body to an outfit is simple, but comes with limitations.
Warning
- only one kind of cloth physics may be worn at a time
What this means is that if an outfit uses cloth physics for breasts, the character may not also equip cloth physics on a scarf or the coat-tail of an overcoat. Avoid equipping both else risk wild physics weirdness. The same holds for naked body using cloth physics (default if CBBE body built with physics using BodySlide) and putting on a coat or scarf with physics. A character may equip two distinct items both with exactly the same physics for breasts, but consider combining the two items into a single outfit for best results. Iâll go over the special case of multiple outfit pieces at the end.
BodySlide Preset tips
- the â(Outfit)â such as in âCBBE Slim (Outfit)â indicates supported breasts given by the outfit
- when building an outfit generally best to use an outfit preset unless the breasts are not supported at all
Step 0: Build Body (and outfit)
If you havenât already done so, build the female naked body with physics using BodySlide. Start BodySlide (usually located in your gameâs DataTools folder). For Outfit/Body select âCBBE Body Physicsâ then pick your Preset (I chose âCBBE Curvyâ) then press the âBuildâ button. The outfit should use a similar preset or sliders.
Load the game and verify physics works on a naked female character.
If your outfit comes with BodySlide files then build your outfit. For best results your outfit should have the same or similar sliders. For my outfit, I chose preset âCBBE Curvy (Outfit)â to match my naked body which uses curvy preset. After outfit builds, a pop-up reveals the folder BodySlide saved the file to. Remember or record the folder location which youâll need in Step 2.
Step 1: Locate Outfit and Backup
Keep a backup of the non-physics version of your outfit in case you need to start over or wish to make other changes. In case of mistake, may need to start over. Also, itâs easier to make changes, such as smoothing tool or combining pieces, on outfit without physics. Consider BodySlide files as a backup.
If your outfit does not come with BodySlide supporting files then locate the mesh file (extension .NIF). Normally these are located somewhere within the Datameshes folder which may be under authorâs or modâs name, or within armor or clothes folder. The mod may install a loose file, or the file may be found within the BA2-file. If no loose file found, extract from BA2 as outlined below.
Help! Canât find the file!FO4Edit to the rescue.
- start FO4Edit and select only the mod - wait to finish loading
- in left pane, expand âArmor Addonâ
- select the outfit piece
- in right pane, locate âFemale world modelâ - âMOD3 - Model Filenameâ and read the value after it
- the NIF-file will be found in Datameshes + above value sub-folder
If the NIF is not found within as loose file in that folder then itâs likely in the archive, BA2-file within matching folder hierarchy.
Extract outfit NIF from BA2-file
The BA2 file is named the same as the plugin and may include â - Mainâ at the end.
- use BSA Browser to open the file
- in left pane, navigate to Meshes then find outfit in right pane
- note the hierarchy of the file - this will be the folder location needed for Step 3
- right-click on the NIF and select âExtract Foldersâ
- choose your gameâs Data folder
- verify the loose file stored in folder matching the hierarchy shown in BA2 Browser
Step 2: Load Reference Body
Remember to load the reference body first (for simplicity). Start Outfit Studio (using button in BodySlide or from DataTools folder).
- menu bar select File -> Load Referenceâ¦
- in the pop-up, click the âBrowseâ button and navigate to and select FemaleBody.nif found in **Datameshesactorscharactercharacterassets
Note: if using a unique-player (or follower) mod which has a modified shape or preset, and the outfit intended for that body shape, then load that body instead.
Step 3: Load Outfit and Identify Parts
- menu bar select File -> Load Outfitâ¦
- click âBrowseâ and locate file noted in Step 1
You should now see the outfit (okay of reference body pokes through or if outfit floating above). In the âMeshesâ tab under âNew Outfitâ there should be a reference body, CBBE, colored green followed by one or more outfit pieces. One of the pieces may be a copy of the body (named CBBE_outfit in my example) which shows in game as the body when wearing this oufit.
If outfit comes with multiple parts identify which parts will need physics - parts covering torso. Click on the eye-icon beside the part to hide in view to help identify it. Click twice more to display it again.
Step 4: Select Bones
Select the âBonesâ tab and scroll down. There should be two bones, CLOTH_Bone_Googles_00 and CLOTH_Bone_Googles_01. If missing then either the reference body was not loaded (no green CBBE), or the bady lacks physics. Start over at Step 0.
CTRL-click to select both CLOTH-bones and ensure only those two are highlighted.
Step 5: Copy Selected Weights
Return to the âMeshesâ tab (those bones will stay selected). If you didnât identify the parts needing physics in Step 3 then do so now. Find all the parts covering torso using the eye-icon to hide/reveal parts. In my example, the shirt and the straps cover the breasts. Main outfit with a copy of the body (usually) also needs to be included, and even if breasts are completely covered itâs safe to select the body copy anyway. Do NOT select the green CBBE reference body.
- CTRL-click select all the parts that need physics
- on menu bar, select Shape -> Copy Selected Weights
Do NOT choose âCopy Bone Weightsâ - use âSelectedâ weights to copy only the two selected bones from Step 4.
Step 6: Export
In menu bar, select File -> Export -> To Nif⦠and replace the outfit file.
If a pop-up message appears: a warning mentioning cloth physics (usually with a checkbox list) indicates a problem which could be caused by common errors: the reference CBBE was mistakenly included, made changes to the mesh after copying selected bone weights, or the outfit had existing cloth physics. Start over with the non-physics backup.
Step 7: Test
Load the game, don the outfit, check movement and jiggle. If the the outfit stretches or explodes then something went wrong - wrong bone weights, mixed physics, or the character has other physics-enabled clothing on. Remember: a character equipped with cloth physics for breasts (or naked body having cloth-style physics) cannot equip a coat with tail physics or a scarf with physics.
Special Case: multiple clothing items
Like having a vest worn over a shirt, or for a specific example see: â[Atom Girl Outfit][5]â by Deserter X. The main outfit in âAtom Girlâ is a fishnet body stocking and the rest of the outfit uses other slots so may be worn or not. How do we handle this? The two choices: (1) combine the top and body stocking into the main outfit, or (2) apply physics to both clothing items. The first choice guarantees good physics and may be necessary in some cases. The second choice needs some extra care to avoid clipping or out-of-sync movement and for some outfits may not work. Choice 2 works for âAtom Girlâ top and body stocking.
Doesnât Choice 2 break the rule about all equipped gear limited to having a single cloth physics?
This is why at the beginning I phrased it as the âsame kindâ or applied to the same area equally. For best results consider these conditions:
- using BodySlide both pieces need to be built following same preset / sliders
- both outfits should reasonably cover the physics area without gaps
- snug fit is better - avoid expanding outer garment larger to reduce clipping
A large unzipped jacket (a gap exposing clothing beneath) over a tight outfit may not work. In that case better to leave jacket static and expand areas in Outfit Studio using brushes to reduce clipping with movement from breasts. Alternatively, try choice 1 - combine jacket and shirt together. In the case of âAtom Girlâ top and body stocking choice 2 works well. The third condition about snug fit is for the goal of having both pieces move together so clipping will not happen. If pieces move out of sync then look at the first condition again - same preset / sliders means both should behave equally from the copied bones application.
How to Choice 1 - combine pieces for cloth physics
- start with both armor pieces without cloth physics
- Do Step 2 and Step 3 to load main outfit
- For second clothing item, repeat Step 3 but this time check the box for âKeep other shapesâ
- do Step 4 and in Step 5 remember to select both main outfit and the second piece before copying
- in Step 6, export overwriting the main outfit
When equipping the main outfit the second piece should be include, both pieces with physics movement as one, because they are one.
How to Choice 2 - independent clothing items with physics
Start with both items without cloth physics. Do Step 1 - Step 6 for the main outfit then repeat Step 1 - Step 6 for second item. Test in game equipping both items to ensure no clipping, no deformations, no stretching, no wild exploding garments. If clipping, review that both items built with same preset and fit well. If crazy physics happens or all else fails then consider Choice 1.

Fallout 4 has a variety of potential companions that provide company while you traverse the wasteland. Many come with their own quests and unlockable perks. If you want to take advantage of these perks, you first need to max out your affinity with the companion through a variety of actions. Let's break down the necessary steps for improving your relationship with Curie, Fallout 4's robot/human Synth companion. (And check out our guide for Piper Wright if you've decided to go with her as your companion.)
Curie is a French-accented Miss Nanny robot repurposed for conducting research in Vault 81; where you can recruit her after the 'Hole in the Wall' quest that opens the Vault. Later, the player can transfer Curie's mind into a female Synth body as part of a side quest (which we'll cover in a moment).
Curie's General Affinity
Curie as a Miss Nanny robot in Vault 81.
Having Curie as a companion means making good or neutral choices during your travels, while avoiding bad or selfish choices.
She appreciates when you are generous and give items to other characters; for instance beggars. When it comes to dialogue choices, aim for nice responses (such as supportive or positive ones), peaceful responses that aim to de-escalate conflict, and mean-spirited responses (she seems to like both nice and mean responses, oddly enough).
To keep your relationship level high, you'll need to avoid actions Curie disapproves of. If you act violently, steal in her presence, choose greedy dialogue responses, or develop a chem addiction, your relationship with her will suffer. Below we've broken down specific, repeatable actions that will help or hurt your relationship.
Actions that affect your relationship with Curie
Focus on these actions to IMPROVE your relationship:
- Heal Dogmeat in Curie's presence
- Donate items gained from Miscellaneous Quests
- Choose a 'nice' dialogue option when speaking to another character
- Choose a 'mean' dialogue option when speaking to another character
- Attempt to resolve conflict with another character peacefully
Meanwhile, AVOID doing these repeatable actions:
- Ask for an increased reward for a quest ('greedy' dialogue options)
- Act violently towards a non-hostile character (Ghouls and Super Mutants are exceptions)
- Steal from or pickpocket someone
- Kill a neutral Mister Gutsy/Mister Handy
- Become addicted to chems
- Retrieve synths for the Institute
There are also some one-time and quest-specific actions you can take that will affect your relationship with Curie. Possible spoilers ahead, depending on where you are in the game.
One-time actions with a POSITIVE effect:
- Side with the Ironsides during the 'Last Voyage of the U.S.S. Constitution' quest and defeat the scavengers
- Join the Brotherhood of Steel
- Use Curie's help to save Danny Sullivan during the 'In Sheep's Clothing' quest.
- Emphasize the importance of love when speaking to Miss Edna in Diamond City's Schoolhouse
- Tell Moe Cronin that baseball was not a violent sport in his 'Swatters' shack in Diamond City
One-time actions with a VERY POSITIVE effect:
- Complete the experiment at the Cambridge Polymer Labs by combining the U-238 with Gold and Lithium Hydride (without disarming the defense systems)
- Defend the synths when meeting Desdemona, The Railroad's leader.
- Give Brian Virgil the experimental serum at the end of the 'Glowing Sea' quest
The following one-time action has a VERY NEGATIVE effect:
- Decide to destroy the Railroad faction for the Brotherhood of Steel or The Institute
Curie's 'Emergent Behavior' Quest
Doctor Amari will help you transfer Curie's mind into a human Synth.
Once Curie has been your companion for some time, she will ask for your help in becoming more human in order to continue her research. If you've completed the 'Dangerous Minds' quest and have met Doctor Amari in Goodneighbor, you can offer to take Curie to see her.
After meeting Amari and following her instructions, Curie will be transferred to a female synth body. Completing the Emergent Behavior quest gives your relationship with Curie a big boost, and you should be well on your way to the 'admire' and 'idolize' levels of the relationship.
Max affinity, romance, and the Combat Medic perk
Gaining the Combat Medic perk once Curie has expressed her love for you.
When you've completed enough of the positive actions above and have completed 'Emergent Behavior', a notification will pop up that Curie 'idolizes' you. You will begin to see 'Flirt' dialogue options when speaking with Curie, with speech checks attached to them.
At this point you can take one of two routes: you can choose to pursue romance with Curie or remain platonic with her. Note that you DO NOT need to romance a companion to gain their companion perk. Even for Fallout 4 companions that can be romanced, the perk results from a maxed-out affinity.
If you choose NOT to pursue romance with Curie, you will need to continue taking the repeatable and remaining one-time actions that she approves of. In the end it's just a numbers game, and once you see the 'idolize' notification, you're at the home stretch of it. Continue choosing supportive and positive dialogue options; ask her about her research and how she's doing in her new human body.
Eventually you will get a notification saying 'you have achieved the highest level of affinity with Curie'. This means you've unlocked the 'Combat Medic' perk. This handy skill gives you the ability to heal 100 Hit Points once per day when you are below 10% HP. Unlike other companion perks, this ability is only usable when Curie is your current companion, so make sure you keep her around if you intend to use it.
If you choose to romance Curie, you will need to take advantage of the 'Flirt' dialogue options at every opportunity. Choosing (and completing) these speech checks will improve your relationship very quickly. To avoid a failed speech check, make sure your Charisma is high enough. If needed you can temporarily supplement your Charisma level with clothing (Reginald's Suit, Agatha's Dress), consumables (Day-Tripper, Daddy-O, or any beer), or more permanently with the Lady Killer perk (a very useful perk if you want to romance multiple opposite-sex companions).
Eventually the 'Romance' option will replace 'Flirt'. Again, be sure that your Charisma is high enough that you can pass this speech check. If you do, Curie will be in love with you and you will have maxed out your affinity with her. The achievement will pop up on your screen, announcing that you've unlocked the 'Combat Medic' perk (see two paragraphs up for the perk's description).
Finally having romanced Curie, you can sleep in a bed for any length of time while Curie loves you (and is your companion) in order to gain the temporary 'Lover's Embrace' perk. This perk grants you a 15% boost in XP for 12 hours, so take advantage of this temporary boost by completing a big mission after your nap!
Note: This guide has been updated to reflect the option to gain Curie's perk without pursuing a romantic relationship with her.

How To Build Best Character in Fallout 4
With so many perk available in S.P.E.C.I.A.L attribute Fallout 4 give you limitless possibility on how you build your character. In this guide, we are going to build a character that is adept for surviving in the game early on so that you get yourself familiar with controls, environment, weapon use and other things without much difficulty and then build this character stronger as you move on in the game.
For starter, we are going to invest most of our initial stat point on PERCEPTION, ENDURANCE and AGILITY, and STRENGTH. So your special will have 3 points for Strength, 7 points for Perception, 8 points for Endurance, 7 points for Agility and 1 point each for Charisma Intelligence and Luck.
Perception will give your character more accuracy while using weapons assisted through V.A.T.S. We will also recommend putting your point in Refractor perk as this will give you increased resistance to energy.
Endurance should have your most attention when you are just starting. For now, you have to survive long enough to get the grasp of your environment. Invest your point in Lead belly perk so you take less radiation through food, Toughness perk which will give you increased damage resistance ability and Rad resistance which will increase your resistance to radiation.
Higher Agility means higher sneaking abilities; also your long range weapons do more damage. This will make you capable of causing more harm while being out of the danger zone. You should invest most of your points in the Sneak perk. This will make you so hard to detect that you will become literally invisible. This comes handy if you want to kill your enemy in stealth mode without causing much fuss. Also, invest your point in Action boy perk to regenerate action point faster.
Lastly, you must not overlook Strength. What use of weapons if you canât carry them. Also, your melee attack in close combat will do more damage. Invest your point in Armorer, Strong back, and Rooted perk so you can have level 1 armor mod, strength to carry more loads and ability to endure more damage while standing still.
This we think will be the most suitable character build for the starter and will certainly allow you to level up quickly and build a stronger and well adept character over the starter foundation.
