Hello everyone!

I've been advised to share this idea with you. In short, I've begun a video series based around the NV Hardcore Mode. I've played the game several times, and it's getting kind of boring. I know most of the quests and area by heart, and the game isn't really all that difficult any more. So I devised a plan to fix that. My solution is what I call Super Mega Ultra Hardcore Mode. Here is a video explaining it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OruR3_YKWf8.
If you don't want to watch the video, then feel free to read the rules below in order to do it yourself!
Rules:
-
Must play on the hardest difficulty (very hard and hardcore).
-
Must cook meat (fruits and vegetables are fine raw) and only drink distilled drinks.
-
Can only carry up to three weapons at a time (You can make it even harder by having one or no weapons!).
-
May only carry 3/4 of carrying capacity (You can reduce this as well if you want).
-
No fast travelling.
-
No waiting or reloading saves (Can do this if there is a bug).
-
Roleplay your characer.
-
Can only sleep in 'safe' beds.
-
May only heal outside of combat (This is defined by the HIDDEN text appearing when crouched).
-
If you die, you're dead. No exceptions.
I'm currently doing a playthrough with these rules. Episode 1 can be found here: http://youtu.be/fLQ4lSPEhE8 Thank you all for checking this out! Have a great day!

Adds Cyberdogs and Lobomites to Random Encounters. Also to Big Empty after DLC is completed
I think it would be awesome to add a new encounter into the game. Theres tons of wide open areas near the bottom areas or top of the map, so I thought it would awesome to add a new random encounter/ part mod that introduces new weapons, and a new companion.basically what would happen is you would enter a specific cell (or place on map if you can fine tune it more) that would trigger this encounter where the Clarabella 7 falling from the sky and landing on the ground. then Colonel Hartingan (the dead astronaut from Mothership Zeta) in this alternate reality encounter from what happened in mothership zeta. (Hartigen got away in his spacecraft and miraculously landed in the middle of the mojave) He will be wearing winterized medic armor also from zeta, but carrying on him his spacesuit and nova surge MPLX with 100 microfusion cells. As soon as you encounter him and talk to him, he begins to tells you how he escaped.. but is cut off by another explosion this time an Alien Space ship (similar to the new vegas encounter or firelance encounter in Fallout 3)
Except this time, it's not just 3 aliens, but about 15-20 of them! some with the forcefields from zeta. looking to abduct the PC, his party and Hartigan. One has Captains Sidearm, One has Firelance, one carrying the atomic pulverizer, and i guess 2 aliens with drone cannons
while the rest all have alien atomizers and disintegrators (one with the unique version)
Your conversation with Hartigen is cut off as he exclaims, 'lets kill these bastards!', and you battle with the aliens in one of the most epic battles in the game. If your lucky enough to defeat the aliens before Hartigan dies (he'll have a high HP) and decent armour... you gain all of the aliens weapons with say 4000 APM's and another 1000 APC's on their bodies.
after the battle you talk with Hartigan, and asks if he can travel with you in your party.
I just thought this would be a really cool mod, maybe more fitting for Fallout 3... since all these objects would be in the Fallout 3 (and mothership zeta) game files.
I've never made a mod before, but I was really hoping something like this wouldn't be impossible? If it's only doable for Fallout 3 that's okay with me too, but i really want to try and make this. Can anyone point me in the right direction to a thread site about creating
comprehensive fallout mods like this? I'd really like to have it for New Vegas, but would be totally willing to just have it for Fallout 3 (since i like Fallout 3 just as much, if not more than New Vegas)
I just want to know if this is at all possible to do, no matter if it will take me hundreds of hours or something. it will be worth it.

Fallout: New Vegas Random Encounters[edit | edit source]
The encounters in New Vegas are different from previous Fallout games, the handful of encounters being scripted encounters and not a random encounter from a pool being initiated in predetermined spots in the Wasteland. Several of these Random encounters can be replaced by the Wild WastelandTrait. Most notable of these encounters being the three alien surveyors past the ranch near a hovering alien ship, or the three old ladies with rolling pins in Freeside by Cerulean Robotics where the sexbot Fisto is located.
Powder Ganger Event[edit | edit source]
Potential to be encountered anywhere, as long as you have bad reputation with the Powder Gangers, a random Powder Ganger will appear and initiate a conversation, then turn hostile and attack you.
If you have cleared out the NCR Correctional Facility, three Powder Gangers show up South of Primm, over the hill from the water tower, North of the Nevada Highway Patrol Station. They are always hostile and sometimes say they are getting revenge. They respawn on a regular basis. This event can also occur with three Powder Gangers even if you do not clear out the NCR Correctional Facility.
Sunset Sarsaparilla Star Bottle Cap[edit | edit source]
After obtaining your first Star Bottle Cap, a roaming trader named Malcolm Holmes will start to follow you from an unknown location. Once he reaches the player, he will converse with the player about the caps. He will also start the quest The Legend of the Star if the player asks him to go into more detail concerning the caps. The player can learn more information from Holmes or leave him be. If the player chooses to attack Malcolm Holmes, he will retaliate, but will die quite easily. Looting the body the player will find several items including four to seven Sunset Star Bottle Caps. You can pickpocket the Sunset Star Bottle Caps off of him as an alternative.
NCR Rangers[edit | edit source]
While traveling the Mojave Wasteland with a negative reputation with the NCR, 2-3 NCR Rangers will appear, telling you to change your reputation with them for the better within three days, or else they'll attack you 'without the pleasant conversation'. If you don't listen to him/her, they'll come back and shoot on sight. Most of the time there will be an NCR ranger with an Anti-materiel rifle on them and the NCR Ranger combat armor. If the player is a high enough level, one of the rangers will be an NCR veteran ranger.
Inversely, if you have a good rep with the NCR, you may be approached by a soldier who will tell you that the 'NCR has your back.' He'll give you an NCR Emergency Radio for future use.
Legion assassins[edit | edit source]
If you have a bad rep with Caesar's Legion whilst traveling the wasteland you will be approached by two legion assassins who will initiate conversation and then become hostile. Unlike the NCR Rangers they will not give you any time to improve your rep with Caesar, and attempt to murder you on the spot.
Kings Gang Member[edit | edit source]
If you have a good reputation with Freeside, you may sometimes get approached by a Kings gang member when walking around Freeside, telling you to keep up the good work, and handing you a random item, from junk food to ammunition to three stimpaks.
Jackal Gang Member's[edit | edit source]
Four Jackal Gang Members will start running in a straight line not interacting with the courier non-stop.They appear to be running from a mole rat that is chasing them.
Emergency Radio[edit | edit source]
If you have a positive reputation with the NCR a ranger may run up to you and give you a NCR emergency radio which can give you the repeatable quest Emergency Radio.
Caesar's Favor[edit | edit source]
If you have a positive reputation with Caesar's Legion a Disguised Frumentarius may run up to you and give you the quest Caesar's Favor.
Caesar's Hire[edit | edit source]
If you have a mixed reputation with the legion a Disguised Frumentarius may run up to you and give you the quest Caesar's Hire.

They will try to reach Novac as the Legion ambushes them; if the merchants and mercenaries defeat the Legion, they will reach Novac and from then on make regular stops at the town.
